Main Application

Used for the production of high-end daily chemical products, the preparation of disinfectants for medical and catering equipment, and the preparation of antibacterial and deodorant finishing agents for fabrics, etc.
Recommended for bleach-free cleaners and disinfectants, for laundry care, surface treatment, and manual dishwashing in the home and environment.

Function/Benefit: Very effective against a wide range of bacteria.
Depending on the concentration of the antimicrobial agent and formulation composition, dichlosan may provide antibacterial and/or bactericidal activity against pathogenic and odor-producing microorganisms. Due to its long-lasting antibacterial effect on treated surfaces, products containing dichlosan have long-lasting freshness and antibacterial protection against fabrics, hard surfaces and cleaning appliances.
Dichlosan is compatible with anionic, non-ionic, amphoteric and cationic components and is stable over a wide pH range. Dichlosan may exhibit instability in products containing bleach.

Guidelines for formulators: Dichlosan can be used for manual cleaning and disinfecting products, dishwashing, laundry care, and hard surface treatments up to a maximum concentration of 0.6%.

Instructions:
Since dichlosan has a low solubility in water, it should be dissolved in concentrated surfactants under heating conditions if necessary. Avoid exposure to temperatures >150°C. Therefore, it is recommended to add washing powder after drying in the spray tower.
Dichlosan is unstable in formulations containing TAED reactive oxygen bleach.
Equipment cleaning instructions:
Equipment used to formulate diclosan-containing products can be easily cleaned using concentrated surfactants and then rinsed with hot water to avoid DCPP precipitation.

Dichlosan is marketed as a biocidal active substance.

Important Notice

We normally list 24 months as the shelf life in our COA, the real shelf life can be slightly longer than 24 months if it's stocked in good condition (bags are sealed enough, away from direct sun-light, moisture and other incompatible chemical materials), but it's still suggested to avoid long time storage.
